Celebrating its 26th anniversary, the “Gospel Sotto le Stelle®” festival promises days of pure energy: the longest-running and most diverse gospel music event in Italy. This landmark event, conceived by the Voci Libere Association and its Free Voices Gospel Choir® – directed by Laura Robuschi – celebrates the power of singing, music, and gospel culture in all its forms. Over the years, it has captivated audiences with a unique musical offering, combining tradition and innovation, bringing over 180 choristers and singing enthusiasts from across Italy and beyond to the stage each year. The event unfolds over three intense days of workshops, where participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves fully in the art of gospel singing, honing their vocal skills under the guidance of industry experts, interactively experiencing every community moment, and experimenting with original choreographies led by FREE’s Move Smiling team. The festival culminates with the final concert on the evening of the third day (Sunday), in which the choir members perform “under the stars” alongside prestigious internationally renowned artists. Gospel Sotto le Stelle® is an experience of artistic growth, a meeting of voices, hands, hearts, and spirituality. It is not just a concert, but an educational journey that, through the universal power of gospel music, celebrates life, hope, and the joy of singing together. Trini Lopez Massie
Vocalist, composer, conductor, and choirmaster, he is celebrated worldwide for his unique ability to blend the traditional gospel influences of legends such as Walter Hawkins, Thomas Whitfield, and Dr. Mattie Moss Clark with the contemporary sounds of Donald Lawrence, Ricky Dillard, and countless others. He boasts numerous international accolades, including a recent Dove Award nomination for Best Gospel Song of the Year for “Work It Out For Me,” which became Billboard’s #1 Gospel album of 2025. As Director of the Gospel Connection’s main choir, Massie has played a key role in promoting international unity through gospel music since 2010, spearheading initiatives that bridge cultural divides in Europe and beyond, including television appearances on RAI. Since 2003, he has held a key role as Minister of Worship and the Arts at Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is a Consultant for Music Ministry. A Reverend since 2007, he has dedicated himself with unwavering commitment to ministry and gospel music, always celebrating its impact on the life and cultural and spiritual development of every community. His remarkable successes, talent, and extraordinary titles have cemented his status as a nearly revered figure in gospel music and worship.

Rudy Fantin
Rudy Fantin, a talented Italian musician and arranger specializing in piano, Hammond organ, Fender Rhodes, and synthesizers, has a musical background that has led him to collaborate with internationally renowned artists (including Stevie Wonder, Noa, Ian Paice, The Swingle Singers, Donald Lawrence, Myron Butler, Michael Stuckey, and Cheryl Porter) and to hold prominent roles in the music scene. Fantin’s discography includes over 60 albums, a testament to his versatility and the trust placed in him by artists and producers.

Artistic direction
Laura Robuschi
Born in Turin, Laura Robuschi has dedicated over thirty years to the promotion and dissemination of choral music. Her training includes studies in singing and vocal technique with prestigious Italian and international teachers, specializing in gospel under the guidance of renowned figures such as Karen Gibson.
In 1997, she founded the Free Voices Gospel Choir in Turin, a “mass choir” that now includes around 100 members and, under her direction, has performed more than 800 concerts and produced 7 albums. Since 2000, she has been the artistic director of “Gospel sotto le stelle”, a national festival that every year transforms Beinasco (Turin) into a hub attracting choirs from all over Italy.
Her career is marked by collaborations with some of the most iconic figures on the global gospel scene, including:
• Cheryl Porter, with whom she recorded a live album.
• Donald Lawrence, through active participation in Art Music Global.
• Masters and pastors such as Bob Singleton, Anthony Morgan, Chris Harris, and Trini Lopez Massie.
She regularly collaborates with internationally renowned musicians such as pianist Rudy Fantin. She has performed on the stages of the most important Italian gospel events, strengthening her role as one of the leading figures in gospel music education and direction in Italy.
Move Smiling
MOVE SMILING is the choreography group of the Free Voices Gospel Choir. Dynamic and innovative, capable of blending dance and emotion in unique performances, he will help all participants and choristers at the event make their body language natural and emotional, developing simple choreographies.
